Dedication. Expertise. Passion.
E mission inc was founded by pioneers in the field of microsphere-based multiplexing. Combined, they hold over 50 patents in the wide array of scientific disciplines that comprise the essential elements of a successful multiplexing platform.
Van S. Chandler was the founder of Luminex Corp. and its CTO from 1995 to 2006. Van holds over 20 patents related to flow instrument technology for multiplexing detection and analysis. He is responsible for the electronics architecture, embedded firmware, PC software, mechanical and industrial design of the Dimension™ Flow Instrument.
Van’s ideas are at the core of what makes the Dimension™ Flow Instrument such an innovation for NexGen Multiplexing™.
Dr. Don J. Chandler was a Senior Director of Chemistry at Luminex Corp. from 1995 to 2019. Don was responsible for development and refinement of the fluorescent dyed beads used in all Luminex Corp. systems and holds 22 patents in the field of fluorescent microsphere technology.
He is the innovator behind EI’s Magentx™ Magnetic Field Sensitive, Fluorescent Dyed Beads.
Jason A. Bedre worked alongside Don at Luminex Corp. as a Senior Scientist from 1999-2019. Jason developed the microsphere synthesis protocols currently in use by Luminex Corp. At EI, he is responsible for conceiving and developing novel products and methods for use in the Dimension™ Flow Instrument, and holds 9 patents related to microsphere technology.
Glenn T. Chandler is the Director of Manufacturing at EI. Glenn was a VP Manufacturing at Inland Laboratories, Inc. from 1983 to 2012. At Inland Glenn was responsible for establishing and implementing protein manufacturing protocols that adhered to GMP standards. From 2012 to 2019, Glenn was a VP of Manufacturing at Infinite Response, Inc. where he oversaw the manufacturing of industrial products, including those with complex electronics systems and electro-mechanical components.
Gilberto M. (“Ybet”) Villacorta is a prominent intellectual property attorney and is EI’s co-founder and CEO. He was a partner at the law firm of Foley & Lardner LLP from 2006 to 2020 and is currently Of Counsel.
